The Role
We are seeking an experienced Site Services Coordinator to ensure the effective operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of site utilities, systems, and equipment. Reporting to the Engineering & Reliability Manager, this critical role supports business priorities across safety, people engagement, quality, cost, and reliability. The key responsibilities and duties will include but not be limited to;
- Performing preventative, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of site utilities including ammonia refrigeration systems, HVAC, boilers, water, compressed air, and fire protection systems.
- Responding to breakdowns quickly to minimise production loss and repair costs.
- Ensuring compliance with safety policies, plant standards, and regulatory requirements (including PSM/RMP for ammonia refrigeration).
- Participating in outage planning, risk assessments, root cause analysis (RCA), and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Supporting the Emergency Planning Committee (EPC) and Emergency Response Team (ERT).
- Managing external contractors to ensure safe, cost-effective, and compliant maintenance of site utilities.
- Analysing equipment performance, investigating failures, and implementing action plans to enhance asset reliability.
- Maintaining accurate documentation, records, and reporting in line with regulatory and internal requirements.
- Other ad hoc duties as per directed.
The Person
The ideal candidate is technically skilled, safety-focused, and driven to deliver reliable outcomes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The key competencies and attributes include:
- Strong technical knowledge of refrigeration cycles, ammonia control valves, and schematics.
- Trade qualification in Electrical, HVAC, Mechanical, Fitting, or relevant Engineering/Technology discipline.
- Knowledge of OH&S principles, & risk management
- Experience and proficient use of the MS Office.
- Forklift licence and current driver's licence (essential).
- Problem-solving and analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to coach, collaborate, and work across multiple teams and functions.
