Role Description

We are seeking a dedicated Line 1 Risk Analyst looking to further their career in the Banking and Finance industry.

The Line 1 Risk Analyst plays a key role in strengthening BNK's risk culture by providing timely insights on control effectiveness, completing quality assurance activities and performing hindsight reviews to support continuous improvement. The position will be responsible for executing and documenting testing of operational risk and compliance controls across Lending and Deposit products.

What you will bring

• Minimum 5 years' experience in the financial services industry/risk management and /or compliance experience
• Demonstrated understanding of regulatory requirements applying to the financial services sector including Credit Risk and Responsible Lending
• Tertiary qualifications in Business/Banking & Finance/Risk Management or other relevant discipline (desirable)
• Excellent problem solving and observational skills, with the ability to identify and provide trusted advice on risk matters.
• The ability to develop strong and collaborative relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and document scheduled and ad-hoc control testing across lending operations, deposit operations and support functions.
• Assess design and operating effectiveness of key controls in line with BNK's risk and compliance framework.
• Complete Quality Assurance (QA) reviews over operational processes to ensure adherence to policy, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct lending hindsight reviews, assessing end-to-end loan origination and credit decisioning to validate quality, compliance, and alignment with BNK's credit risk appetite.
