Job Summary

The IT Solutions Engineer plays a critical role in the implementation and support of IT solutions designed by the Solutions Architecture team. This role involves hands-on technical delivery, client support, and collaboration with internal stakeholders to ensure successful project execution. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation, a proactive mindset, and a commitment to continuous learning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Solution Implementation:
    Deploy and configure IT solutions based on designs provided by Solutions Architects, ensuring alignment with client requirements and technical standards.
  • Technical Support & Troubleshooting:
    Provide Tier 2/3 support for escalated technical issues across cloud, networking, and virtual desktop environments.
  • Client Engagement:
    Assist with onboarding, training, and post-deployment support for clients. Communicate technical updates clearly and professionally.
  • Documentation:
    Maintain accurate and detailed documentation for implemented solutions, including configuration records, change logs, and user guides.
  • Collaboration:
    Work closely with Solutions Architects, Project Managers, and Security teams to ensure smooth project delivery and knowledge transfer.
  • Compliance & Security:
    Support the implementation of security controls and compliance frameworks (e.g., Essential 8) as part of solution delivery.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Identify opportunities to improve deployment processes, automation, and client outcomes. Stay current with emerging technologies.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience:
    3–5 years of experience in IT support, systems engineering, or solution delivery roles within an MSP or similar environment.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, and Windows Server environments.
    • Familiarity with Azure Virtual Desktop or other VDI platforms.
    • Understanding of networking, firewalls, and security best practices.
    • Exposure to scripting or automation (e.g., PowerShell) is a plus.
  • Certifications:
    Microsoft certifications (e.g., AZ-104, MS-700) or equivalent are desirable.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to manage time effectively and work independently or as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a project-based environment with exposure to Agile or ITIL practices.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as Essential 8 or ISO 27001.
  • Interest in progressing toward a Solutions Architect or Security-focused role
