About The Role
We're seeking an experienced Operations Manager to take charge of our factory and oversee all facets of operations. Reporting directly to the Directors, you'll lead the supply of protective coatings to all major projects in Victoria, including Victorian Big Build. You will coordinate production, people, safety, quality, and supply chain management to ensure the factory performs at its best.
In this role, the Production Manager and other key leads will report directly to you, giving you the scope to set direction, drive improvements, and ensure the factory supports our wider business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all areas of factory operations (production, inventory, logistics, safety, and quality).
- Directly oversee the Production Manager and other operational leads, ensuring alignment and accountability.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and drive performance.
- Ensure the factory operates to the highest standards of safety, compliance, and quality.
- Collaborate closely with the Directors to align operations with broader business objectives and growth plans.
- Build, mentor, and develop a strong, engaged team culture.
- Analyse KPIs and operational data to support decision making and continuous improvement.
About You
- Proven success in a senior factory operations or manufacturing leadership role.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Hands-on, pragmatic, and solutions-focused, with the ability to balance strategy with day-to-day execution.
- Solid understanding of WHS, compliance, and quality systems.
- Commercially astute, with the ability to align operations to business performance targets.
