Job Summary

At HUB24, we're on a journey to empower better financial futures, and we're looking for a Data Solution Architect who brings a blend of deep technical expertise, collaborative energy, and a strategic mindset. In this role, you will take ownership of the architectural blueprint for HUB24's data ecosystem and lead the design of purposeful, scalable, and secure data solutions.

You'll partner closely with product teams, Data Analysts, Data Engineer, and business stakeholders to ensure our solutions are not only technically sound but also aligned with business priorities. With your guidance, we'll ensure our data platform investments translate into real-world impact, driving smarter, client-focused outcomes.

This is a leadership role with a focus on collaboration, mentoring, and creating an inclusive, high-performing engineering culture—one where everyone is empowered to contribute and grow.

Responsibilities:

• Design and own the end-to-end architecture of HUB24's data ecosystem, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
• Deliver high-quality, fit-for-purpose, and commercially aware data solutions using modern technologies and scalable design practices.
• Ensure all solutions meet security, governance, and quality standards.
• Drive timely and budget-conscious delivery of capabilities in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and co-create actionable, value-driven solutions.
• Act as a bridge between business and technical teams, ensuring transparency, alignment, and shared understanding.

• Contribute to design standards, technical documentation, and training materials.

• Mentor and guide data engineers, integration engineers, and analytics engineers (both local and offshore), fostering a culture of support, inclusion, and innovation.

• Encourage continuous learning, providing feedback and development plans that help team members thrive.

• Contribute to building a collaborative team culture where diverse perspectives are valued.

• Promote modern development practices with a systematic, agile approach.

• Ensure technical documentation is accurate, clear, and accessible.
• Drive ongoing platform optimization and automation strategies.

• Maintain accountability through timely timesheet completion and documentation.

• Ensure all data solutions are designed with the client in mind—intuitive, reliable, and impactful.

• Deliver projects that are prioritised and aligned with real client needs and future opportunities.

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• 5+ years of experience as a Senior Solution Designer or Solution Architect, specifically within the data domain.

• Demonstrated experience leading the architecture and delivery of enterprise-grade data solutions.

• Proficiency in modern data platforms and tools: Python, Databricks, DBT, Fivetran, GCP

• Strong experience in data architecture, data modelling (logical & physical), and platform design.
• Familiarity with source control systems and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and automated testing practices.
• Understanding of data governance, security, and quality standards.
• Proven ability to design secure, scalable, and maintainable data solutions.
