About the Role

Melbourne Window Company is seeking a motivated and reliable 1st Year Apprentice to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in the aluminium window and glazing industry. You will gain hands-on experience in both factory fabrication and on-site installation, working across residential and commercial projects.

We provide full training and support throughout your apprenticeship, with a clear pathway to becoming a qualified window fabricator/installer.

Key Responsibilities

Fabrication (Factory):

  • Cutting, assembling and glazing aluminium window and door frames
  • Learning to operate machinery, tools, and equipment safely
  • Preparing orders and assisting with production tasks
  • Maintaining a clean and organised workspace

Installation (Site):

  • Assisting with the installation of windows, doors, and frames
  • Handling materials, sealing, fixing, and basic finishing
  • Following instructions from senior installers and tradesmen
  • Ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards

What We're Looking For

  • Completed Year 12 (pass preferred)
  • Willingness to complete a full apprenticeship with us (3–4 years)
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude
  • Ability to work in a team and follow instructions
  • Experience in trades or construction is optional but preferred
  • Manual driver's licence is optional but preferred
