Adelaide SA, Australia Datacom Connect Full time $120,000 - $180,000 per year

Position: Senior Network Consultant

Datacom Location: Canberra or Adelaide preferred, otherwise any major city in AU.

Security Requirements: Australian citizens with Baseline Security Clearance or Higher Only.

Full Time, Hybrid (office time required), Permanent Position.

Our Why

Datacom works with organisations and communities across Australia and New Zealand to make a difference in people's lives and help organisations use the power of tech to innovate and grow.

About the Role

As a Senior Networks Consultant, your role is to deliver technical networking projects for our customers to the highest quality standard, within scope, to budget and on time. It is expected that you can think quick on your feet, be able to identify risks to schedule and actively minimise uncertainty. You will utilise Cisco, Aruba, and NSX technologies, and exposure to Arista, Fortinet or Palo Alto will be advantageous.

As above, you MUST have a current security clearance (Baseline, NV1, NV2) - this is not a police certificate but an actual security clearance.

What You'll do

As a Senior Network Consultant, you will:

  • Develop your professional expertise with us across a range of applicable technologies to certification.
  • Build constructive internal and external working relationships.
  • Always adhere to company and client policies and procedures.
  • Work on projects, properly scoped and signed off by the clients.
  • Bring your expertise to the fore when designing solutions to project requirements.

What You'll Bring

  • 5+ years of networking focused experience in IT.
  • Advanced understanding of building, designing and or supporting/diagnosing networks.
  • Strong technical documentation skills to deliver Design and Support related documents for your solutions.
  • Certification in two or more vendor technologies. Preferably Cisco, Aruba and NSX or comparable to a Professional level or higher.
  • Knowledge of Zscaler, SD-WAN, ACI, Cisco Wireless, Load Balancer and Cloud Networking would be an advantage
  • Experience working in a client facing position with an MSP.

In addition to the above, you will be highly motivated, self-reliant, technically proficient engineer; a strong team player who can also work autonomously when required. You are an open and effective communicator at all levels both within Datacom and with our clients.
