About the Role

Reporting to the Café Supervisor, you'll be the heart of the café service. You'll focus on barista duties, front-of-house service, and ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for every customer.

Roster: Ideally available Sunday–Thursday, including early mornings and busy lunch periods.

Physical tasks: Some lifting and movement involved.

Autonomy: We're looking for someone proactive who can take initiative, manage busy periods, and step in wherever needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and other beverages to a high standard.
  • Greet customers warmly, take orders, and provide excellent service.
  • Maintain café cleanliness, stock levels, and equipment.
  • Work with the team to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
  • Pitch in wherever needed – including supporting events or other café operations.
  • Follow health & safety standards and café SOPs.

About You

  • Properly coffee-trained with 2+ years experience in a busy café and excellent barista skills.
  • Passionate about hospitality and creating a welcoming customer experience.
  • Organised, reliable, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Works well under pressure, leads by example, and supports the team.
  • Hands-on, adaptable, and happy to help wherever it's needed.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency in every cup.

Must-Haves

  • Proper coffee training and 2+ years café experience
  • RSA certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Availability Sunday–Thursday
  • Comfortable with early mornings, busy service periods, and light physical tasks
  • Team player with great communication skills
