About the role

We are seeking an experienced CNC saw operator and stone polisher to join our dedicated and hardworking team at VA Stone' in our Clayton South, VIC 3169 location. This is a full-time role where you will use your specialised skills to operate CNC machinery and polish stonework for our stonemasonary business.

CNC Saw Operator - Stonemasonry

  1. Operating CNC saws and CAD programming to cut and shape stone to customer specifications
  2. inishing the stonework to a high standardMaintaining machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance
  3. Measure and check tamplates before cutting
  4. Collaborating with the team to meet production targets and deadlines
  5. Optimize material usage and minimize waste

Stone Polisher - Stonemasonry

  1. Polish andfinish stone surfaces( quartz, marble, porcelain or engineer stone) to achieve high-quality edges and finishes
  2. Operate hand tools and polishing machines safely and efficiently
  3. Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
  4. Repair or touch up chips and scratches as needed
  5. Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean working environment
  6. Work closely with fabricators and installers to ensure smooth production flow

What we're looking for

  1. Extensive experience as a CNC saw operator and/or stone polisher, ideally in the stonemasonary industry
  2. Strong technical skills and the ability to read technical drawings
  3. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  4. Reliable, hardworking and ability to work effectively
  5. Good communication and problem-solving skills
  6. Driver license or Forklift license is highly desirable

Must have:

Evidence of recent health monitoring test or be able to pass one prior to commencing.
