Job Roles and Responsibilities

  • Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently while adhering to relevant laws and regulations.
  • Counsel patients on proper medication usage, potential side effects, drug interactions and carry out medschecks.
  • Administer vaccinations and provide necessary education and follow-up care.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, such as doctors and nurses, to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Manage pharmacy inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper storage conditions.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and concerns with professionalism and empathy.
  • Promote over-the-counter medications, health and beauty products, and other retail items through effective sales and marketing strategies.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with legal and professional standards.
  • Participate in training and development programs to stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
  • Foster a positive team environment by encouraging collaboration and effective communication among colleagues.
  • No Methadone nor needle exchange

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy or equivalent qualification recognised by the Pharmacy Board of Australia and eligible to work unrestricted in Australia.
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex medical information in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing medications and maintaining records.
  • Proficiency in medication packing and inventory management processes.
  • Commitment to time management and ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Demonstrated adaptability and willingness to learn and embrace new technologies and processes.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
