Seeking Vehicle Technicians, Mechanics, Diesel Fitters

About us:

PIQ Logistics provides logistical support to the Singapore Armed Forces, facilitating the annual military training exercise.

Amongst many other goods & services provided to the SAF/RSAF we repair, service and maintain a fleet of military vehicles based in South Rockhampton QLD 4700.

Our fleet size has increased in late October 2024, and we are seeking to fill multiple roles for vehicle technicians, mechanics, diesel fitters. We work on a specialized range of light and heavy vehicles.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Must be a trades qualified Mechanic or Diesel fitter - Cert 3 or higher (light or Heavy vehicle)

  • Current Manual driver's license

  • High-risk LF Forklift License (or willing to obtain at our cost)

  • MR or above Truck License (or willing to obtain HR at our cost)

  • Obtain a clear online federal police check and maintain it during employment.

  • You must be an Australian citizen or have permanent working rights for this role.

  • Must be physically fit to conduct manual handling tasks associated with the role.

  • Experience with MAN, CAT, Allison and Detroit diesel would be highly regarded.

  • Experience with Ford Everest (Ranger) and F550 range would be highly regarded.

  • A/C system experience would be highly regarded.

  • Auto electrical experience would be highly regarded.

What we offer:

  • Full-time Permanent position

  • A 9-day fortnight - Working 07:00 – 16:00 Monday to Thursday, and 07:00 – 15:30 every 2nd Friday throughout the normal working year.

  • During annual deployment periods, workers are generally deployed to the training area, living in camp style accommodation, based on a 6 on / 1 off roster (on average) A fixed daily rate is offered for the deployment period.
