Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Mobile Plant Operator with experience operating Elevating Work Platforms (EWP) and Telehandlers on construction sites. The ideal candidate will hold current high-risk work licenses and have a strong understanding of safe work practices and equipment operation. You will play a key role in supporting construction activities by handling materials, lifting personnel, and assisting with site logistics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate EWP (boom lift/scissor lift) and telehandler equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Perform pre-start checks, routine inspections, and basic maintenance on machinery.
  • Transport materials, tools, and equipment around the site using telehandlers.
  • Elevate workers and materials to required heights using EWPs in compliance with safety protocols.
  • Follow site plans, instructions, and load charts to complete tasks accurately.
  • Work closely with site supervisors and other trades to coordinate tasks and priorities.
  • Adhere strictly to safety guidelines, including hazard identification and risk control measures.
  • Maintain accurate equipment logs and report any issues or incidents promptly.
  • Assist with general site duties when not operating machinery, including basic labouring.
  • Ensure machinery is secured and stored correctly at the end of each shift.

Requirements:

  • Valid High-Risk Work Licence for:
  • EWP (WP class – boom lift over 11m)
  • Telehandler (LF or CN, or RIIHAN309F if applicable)
  • White Card (Construction Induction Card).
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience operating mobile plant on construction sites.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant safety standards, load limits, and equipment capabilities.
  • Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
  • Physically fit and able to work in a demanding outdoor environment.

Desirable:

  • Additional tickets/licenses (e.g., forklift, dogging, rigging, working at heights).
  • Experience on civil, infrastructure, or commercial construction projects.
  • Ability to read site plans and lift plans.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Subcontract

Pay: $75,500.00 – $95,000.00 per year
