Senior AI Engineer

Multiple permanent Senior AI Engineer positions available for AI Engineers or Software Engineers with a strong background in Python, APIs & Integrations. These positions are based across Melbourne and Sydney.

Our client is a large organisation who are currently looking to make multiple hires in their AI practice due to a high-demand for GenAI & Agentic AI solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Work with Data Scientists to optimise model performance, deployment pipelines and performance monitoring
  • Design, build, train and deploy GenAI and Agentic AI solutions in cloud environments (Azure preferred, AWS or GCP)
  • Partner with internal clients/stakeholders, data scientists, delivery and product teams to ensure delivery of projects and products that align with business needs
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to the development of the AI Practice

About you:

  • 5-10+ years of engineering experience with strong skills in Python and experience with APIs/integrations
  • Experience bringing at least one AI solution/feature into production
  • Hands-on experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow and deep learning techniques
  • Experience using services on Azure AI (preferred), AWS SageMaker or GCP Vertex AI
  • CI/CD, MLOps and model monitoring experience highly desirable

Salary banding: flexible (guide: $150k - $180k p.a. + super)
