Position Purpose

The Dealer's Assistant role is responsible for providing high-level administrative and operational support to Private Wealth Advisers, with a strong focus on investment administration, trade support, client service and compliance. This role is integral to ensuring the smooth execution of advice strategies, accurate processing of transactions and delivery of timely, professional service to clients.

We are seeking a highly organised individual with strong attention to detail, a proactive mindset and an interest in markets and investments, who thrives in a fast-paced private wealth environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support to Private Wealth Advisers in relation to investment and client portfolio administration. 

• Assist with trade execution support, confirmations and settlement processes. 

• Prepare and process investment documentation, including account openings, client instructions and platform forms. 

• Liaise with advisers, platforms, brokers and internal teams to ensure efficient transaction processing. 

• Support compliance and regulatory requirements, including record-keeping and file maintenance.

• Assist with preparation and development of advice documentation relating to SOA, ROA and IPS on behalf of the Private Wealth Advisers. 

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client and portfolio records across CRM and investment platforms including data capturing in Xplan. 

• Assist with preparation of reports, portfolio reviews and client correspondence. 

• Manage adviser diaries, meeting scheduling, reviews and follow-up actions. 

• Respond to client queries in a professional and timely manner. 

• Perform ad hoc administrative and operational duties to support the investment and advice team.

Qualifications and Experience

• Previous experience in a Dealer's Assistant, associate adviser, trading support, investment administration or similar role preferred. 

• Experience within stockbroking, private wealth or financial advice highly regarded. 

• Familiarity with investment platforms and market operations (e.g. OpenMarkets, Praemium or similar) desirable. 

• Relevant financial services qualifications or progress toward RG146 advantageous but not essential.
