The Role
As an Assistant Project Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the planning, design, and delivery of complex projects. You'll work alongside senior project managers, clients, and multidisciplinary design teams to ensure our projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow their career in project management while contributing to projects with real social and community impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development and management of project plans, schedules, budgets, and reporting.
- Assist in stakeholder engagement, including clients, consultants, contractors, and end-users.
- Coordinate workshops, meetings, and project documentation.
- Monitor project risks, issues, and performance, escalating as required.
- Ensure compliance with governance, safety, and quality standards.
- Contribute to feasibility studies, business cases, and project briefs.
About You
You'll bring strong organisational skills, a collaborative mindset, and a genuine interest in projects that enhance learning, research, and healthcare outcomes.
Essential:
- Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Bachelor degree qualification is required for this position.
- 1–3 years' experience in project coordination, project management, or consultancy support roles.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- A proactive approach, with the ability to adapt and learn quickly.
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required for this role.
Desirable:
- Experience working on projects within the Education, Health, or Life Science sectors.
- Exposure to design and construction processes.
- Knowledge of project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar).
