About the Inclusion & Wellbeing directorate

The Inclusion and Wellbeing Directorate drives continuous improvement of policies and programs that maximise access, inclusion and wellbeing of students in education from pre-school to year 12. The Directorate leads coordination of state-wide strategy and policy to lift student participation, health and wellbeing, and outcomes for students with disability.
 
About the position

The position is within the Centralised Integration Funding Support (CIFS) team and provides strategic support and advice to schools, educational services teams, school communities and key stakeholders on all aspects of Aboriginal education and Engagement. This position supports key functions of the CIFS team in implementation and monitoring of the Integration Funding Support program.

  • Do you identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person?

  • Do you have experience or a strong commitment to providing strategic support and advice to schools, educational services teams, school communities, and key stakeholders?
  • Are you passionate about supporting Aboriginal students with disability to access education on the same basis as their peers? Do you feel confident supporting diverse communities and collaborating across multiple stakeholders to promote inclusive educational practices?
  • Are you motivated to help schools and communities implement strategies that enhance Aboriginal education outcomes and engagement?
  • Are you comfortable analysing and reflecting on data related to Aboriginal students to design targeted resources and support for schools, particularly to support Aboriginal students with  disability?

The 2017 transitional arrangement for the recruitment of Non-School Based Teaching Service positions, for all Senior Education Officer 1 (SEO1) and Senior Education 2 (SEO2) positions across the Department have ceased.
