An exciting temporary contract for a Parking Manager to join council in the Eastern Suburbs.

This pivotal role leads to the strategic delivery of Council's public safety functions nestled within the parking and ranger services. The position is critical to advancing Council's commitment to public safety, community wellbeing and a thriving local community.

The ideal candidate is a proactive, people-centred leader who combines strong governance with a passion for service. A leader who understands that compliance is not just about enforcement, but a tool to build trust, deliver better outcomes and shape how people experience their city.

Your new role

As the Parking Manager, you will:

  • Manage and lead multidisciplinary teams across parking enforcement and ranger operations
  • Respond decisively to high-risk, politically sensitive, or crisis-driven situations, maintaining community confidence and organisational reputation
  • Foster a customer-focused culture that ensures respectful and timely driven service delivery
  • Build strong partnerships with NSW Police and neighbouring councils to address shared community safety challenges
  • Lead complex investigations and represent Council in regulatory proceedings
  • Manage day to day operations of the team
  • Managing and rostering of staff

What you'll need to succeed

  • Tertiary qualifications in Regulatory Services, or a related field or equivalent experience
  • Deep understanding of NSW legislation governing local government
  • Proven leadership in enforcement teams, with experience navigating complex or sensitive issues
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management and advocacy skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build high-performing teams, and drive continuous improvement
  • Current NSW Class C Driver's Licence

What you'll get in return

An opportunity to elevate your career in management and day to day enforcement operations. The contract is an initial 12-week secondment, but you will be working full-time hours, 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday. The contract could also be ongoing depending on availability and performance.
