Make a difference in our community
The Student Asset Planner position will assist the Asset Management team by providing assistance and technical support to maintain an accurate Asset Register. This is achieved through data management and data collection of Council's drainage, roads, pathways, bridge, open space building assets and portable and attractive assets in a manner that is suitable for the operational teams to use in maintenance tasks, the capital works teams to use in renewal/upgrade/new project plan development, to use in reporting/dashboards and long term financial plan development.
About you
The Student Asset Planner will demonstrate an aptitude and curiosity for learning strategic asset management activities. You will be currently undertaking or have recently finished a tertiary level qualification in a discipline of (but not limited to) civil engineering, asset management, data analytics or geospatial science.
The Student Asset Planner role suits somebody who is:
- Technically minded (data analytics, GIS skills, PowerBI skills, and providing technical engineering advice)
- Creative (map creation and developing innovative solutions)
- Has eye for detail (ensures data integrity)
- Personable (great communicator and works well in a team)
- Enjoys flexible working conditions (mixture of indoor and outdoor data collection activities)
