About You

As a Studies of Religion Teacher, you will inspire students through engaging, student-centered teaching within a Catholic learning environment. You'll bring:

  • a commitment to the Catholic ethos of the College, the Catholic Church and the wellbeing of all community members
  • demonstrated knowledge and understanding of contemporary pedagogical practices
  • ability to create and implement engaging, rigorous planned learning experiences catering to the diverse needs of students
  • the ability and qualifications to teach Religious Education, and experience in teaching Studies of Religion. The ability to teach an additional subject is advantageous
  • a commitment to academic excellence
  • formative and summative assessments to drive student progress
  • a data-informed approach to setting challenging learning objectives and providing constructive feedback
  • excellent classroom management skills focused on student well-being
  • ability to integrate technology to enhance contemporary learning experiences
  • interpersonal and effective communication skills to work with parents, students, staff and employers to support work placement, and opportunities in apprenticeships and traineeships
  • demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team
  • a tertiary qualification in Education & NESA accreditation
  • Religious Education qualifications or the willingness to achieve them as per Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach, and Lead.
