General Manager Quality & Innovation
to join our growing team on a
full-time (1.0EFT) ongoing basis.

We are looking for an experienced and visionary General Manager to lead the organisation's clinical and corporate governance functions. This pivotal role oversees risk management, patient safety, consumer liaison, and continuous improvement systems, while ensuring compliance with key accreditation standards including NSQHS, NDIS, and Aged Care. You will lead a high-forming team and work closely with executive leadership to embed a culture of safety, quality, and innovation across the Health Service.

The role of the General Manager Quality & Innovation is:

  • Lead and manage the Quality & Innovation team to deliver evidence-based governance and improvement strategies.
  • Oversee accreditation processes across NSQHS, NDIS, and Aged Care Standards.
  • Drive a culture of safety and person-centred care through strategic leadership and stakeholder engagement.
  • Manage serious clinical incidents, sentinel events, and statutory reporting in line with Safer Care Victoria guidelines.
  • Provide high-level reporting and advice to executive leadership, Board committees and external stakeholders.
  • Promote and embed LRH's Quality Improvement Cycle and risk management practices across all divisions.

About you

Ideal candidates for this role will have:

  • Registered Health Practitioner with current AHPRA registration or relevant professional association.
  • Postgraduate qualification in clinical governance, health management, policy or related field.
  • Proven senior leadership experience in clinical governance within a multidisciplinary healthcare setting.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and relationship building skills.
  • High-level organisational and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change, influence culture, and drive continuous improvement.

Medical and radiation oncology are offered by the Gippsland Cancer Care Centre.

Now is an exciting time to join the LRH team, with the $223.5 million expansion completed in March 2024, offering improved maternity and paediatric facilities, larger intensive care unit, increased medical and surgical beds and additional operating theatres.
