About The Role
Join Mackay Regional Council's Field Services team and help maintain essential infrastructure for our community. This hands-on role involves working outdoors, supporting civil construction and maintenance activities, and ensuring safe and efficient delivery of services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with construction and maintenance of roads, drainage, and other civil assets.
  • Operate small plant and equipment safely and effectively.
  • Perform manual labour tasks in varying weather conditions.
  • Comply with Workplace Health & Safety requirements and Council policies.
  • Work collaboratively within a team to meet project deadlines.

Essential Qualifications & Skills

  • Current Queensland C Class Driver's Licence.
  • Ability to perform physical labour and work in outdoor environments.
  • Basic knowledge of civil construction practices.
  • Commitment to safety and teamwork.
  • White Card (Construction Induction) – or ability to obtain.

Desirable

  • MR or HR Driver's Licence.
  • Experience in civil works or similar labouring roles.

Benefits

  • Permanent full-time position with a 9-day fortnight.
  • Base annual salary of $ 64, applicable allowances
  • Up to 18% superannuation (conditions apply).
  • Choice of 4 or 5 weeks' annual leave with 17.5% leave loading Access to training and development opportunities.
