 Woolloongabba, QLD – Just 10 minutes from Brisbane CBD

Located in a purpose-built, 93-place service with easy access to public transport, our service is focused on creating a safe, nurturing, and delicious experience for every child. This is your chance to be part of a supportive and dynamic team at a leading global childcare brand.

About the Role:

  • Position: Permanent Part-Time

  • Hours: Monday to Friday (Morning Shift – 30 hours/week)

  • Hourly Rate: Up to $35/hour (commensurate with experience)

Essential Qualifications:

  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent culinary qualifications/experience)

  • Valid Working With Children Check

  • First Aid Certificate including CPR

Essential Skills & Attributes:

  • Ability to prepare balanced, nutritious meals tailored to children's developmental needs

  • Experience creating rotating menus aligned with dietary guidelines

  • Skilled in catering to special dietary requirements (e.g. gluten-free, dairy-free, halal)

  • Knowledge of and adherence to food safety and hygiene protocols

  • Ability to manage food budgets and ordering supplies

  • Strong time management to ensure meals are ready on schedule

Desirable Skills & Knowledge:

  • Previous experience as a Chef or Cook in an early childhood setting

  • Familiarity with nutritional needs and common allergies in children

  • Interest in preparing culturally diverse dishes for an educational experience

  • Knowledge of sustainable food practices like reducing waste and sourcing local produce
