Busy Bees at Tamworth is a purpose-built, welcoming early learning centre with 102 licensed places, located in the growing community of Tamworth, NSW. We are seeking a dedicated Full-Time Chef who is passionate about preparing nutritious meals for children and supporting a collaborative team environment.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a chef who enjoys creativity, organisation, and making a meaningful impact in a childcare setting.

About the Role

In this role, you will:

  • Prepare and cook nutritious, age-appropriate meals that meet dietary, cultural, and allergy requirements

  • Plan weekly menus in line with Busy Bees nutrition guidelines

  • Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene at all times

  • Keep the kitchen clean, organised, and compliant with regulatory standards

  • Monitor inventory levels and place food orders

  • Build warm, positive relationships with children, families, and educators

  • Bring efficiency, creativity, and professionalism to the kitchen

  • Demonstrate clear experience working in a childcare environment

What You'll Need

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Certificate in Commercial Cookery or equivalent

  • Valid NSW Working with Children Check (Employee)

  • Food Safety / Food Handling certification

  • Strong understanding of nutrition, allergies, and menu planning

  • Excellent time management, organisation, and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Australian working rights
