Southern Farming Systems (SFS) is a leading agricultural research and extension organisation working across the High Rainfall Zone (HRZ) of Victoria and Tasmania. We're currently seeking a Graduate Research & Extension Officer to join our dynamic team and kickstart a hands-on career in applied agriculture.

About the Role
You'll assist in the planning, implementation, and monitoring of agricultural field trials and extension activities. The role supports Research & Extension across diverse projects, providing exposure to the full research cycle from trial sowing to data analysis and extension delivery.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist with sowing, spraying, and harvesting of field trials
• Apply agronomic treatments and conduct assessments
• Record trial operations and support statistical analysis and reporting
• Contribute to extension events, field days, and trial result presentations
• Support communication outputs including articles and farmer updates
About You
• Degree in Agricultural Science, Crop Agronomy, Biology or similar
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Comfortable working outdoors and learning new skills and equipment
• Driver's License (ACUP preferred or willingness to obtain)
• Practical farming experience (desirable but not essential)
