About the Role

Swan Group is looking for a hands-on, detail-driven Bid Manager to take full ownership of the end-to-end bid process — from strategy and content creation to final submission and post-bid review.

This is not just a coordination role. You'll be the driving force producing high-quality, compliant, and compelling submissions for Expressions of Interest (EOIs), Requests for Tender (RFTs), and Early Contractor Involvement bids. That means researching, writing, designing, and setting out documents yourself — as well as bringing together technical, operational, and commercial input from the team.

Key Responsibilities

Hands-On Bid Delivery

  • Produce high-quality written and designed submission documents (EOIs, RFTs, capability statements, prequalifications).
  • Create bid layouts using client forms, templates, and tools such as Canva or InDesign.
  • Draft tender programmes, site logistics plans, and construction methodologies.
  • Tailor content to each client and opportunity, ensuring clarity, persuasiveness, and compliance.

End-to-End Bid Management

  • Own the bid lifecycle from tender receipt through to final submission.
  • Lead bid strategy development with the Business Development Manager and estimators.
  • Source, refine, and integrate information from project teams.
  • Maintain and update tender logs, case study libraries, and pursuit schedules.
  • Attend site inspections, tender briefings, and industry events.

Business Development & Marketing

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Identify new tender opportunities via portals and networks.
  • Support award submissions, marketing collateral, and social media content.

Safety & Compliance

  • Promote Swan Group's Safety First culture in all pre-construction activities.
  • Ensure all work meets OHSE requirements and company standards.
What You Bring
  • 5+ years of commercial construction experience, with hands-on delivery background
  • Proven ability to write, design, and deliver technical and creative bid content.
  • Strong understanding of construction methodology, staging, and buildability.
  • High-level skills in Microsoft Office, tender portals, and Canva or similar.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, grammar, and layout.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines without compromising quality.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
Working Conditions
  • Office-based with occasional site visits.
  • Direct engagement with project, estimating, and senior management teams.
  • Fast-paced, deadline-driven environment requiring adaptability and initiative.
