Crumpler is a privately owned designer, manufacturer and retailer of bags and outerwear with a small modern factory and studio based in Melbourne's CBD along with a network of our own retail stores around the country. We make in Melbourne a best selling product thats sold all over the world.

We have reached a time where the outsourced book-keeping services are not quite enough and now very keen to bring in an experienced mid-career finance manager / accountant to not only keep the day-to-day bookkeeping and accounts squeaky clean but also bring an analytical mind to help improve and inform our design, production, ecommerce & retail divisions during a period of manageable growth and brand development.

You'd be involved in all parts of the company working alongside a small & talented group of designers, makers, brand experts, shop-keepers & suppliers. We'd like you to establish user friendly systems and modelling that help a creative staff become more aware of the financial aspects and impacts of their work ideally resulting in measured decisions and a company well informed to make the most of opportunities.

As a manufacture the production and supply-chain is very important. You'd be working closely with our factory staff, product designers & suppliers to help streamline pre-production planning, forecasting, ordering of materials components & logistics.

You'd also spend time with the director and external accountants on compliance, budgeting and reporting.

This job would suit someone who has good fundamental accounting and analytical skills and experience perhaps from a fashion or manufacturing background or someone who is looking for a step-up to participate in a fun and design led environment. It may also suit an experienced campaigner looking for a part-time role and a change from the corporate slog.
