Hire Australia is very excited to be expanding into our second location, and we've chosen Mount Gambier to be our new home

Hire Australia is a commercial equipment hire business located in Warrnambool, Victoria. We supply mobile plant across Western Victoria and other parts of Australia.

While we may have a big sounding name, we are a local, family run business that focusses on our amazing customers and our wonderful staff.

We are a small team of enthusiastic peeps that take pride in our service and customer support.

A brief history...

Our business roots started back in 2009, when owner Matt Reeves started a forklift and machinery repair business. As the business grew over time, it expanded into general hire of construction equipment. In 2017 there was a distinct change, resulting in a new name and a sole focus on equipment hire. Since then, the business has grown to over 400 pieces of hire equipment, which spans Telehandlers, Traffic lights, Vehicles, Access, Excavators, Compaction, Generators and lots more in between.

While the next chapter of our business is unwritten, we are excited to be expanding into SE South Australia and are very much looking forward to establishing long term relationships with our customers.

The Role…

This will be a combined role until we get ourselves established. There will be two components to this role.

· Yard Hand

· Truck Driver

Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Yard Hand role is responsible for ensuring our hire fleet is clean, fuelled, pre-hired and ready to rock and roll. The Truck Driver role is responsible for equipment deliveries and collections.

Key Responsibilities…

· Equipment pre-hire: Checking all the important stuff like oil & water, safety systems, greasing and keeping an eye out for damage.

· Equipment cleaning: Washing the equipment inside and out so that our customers get the best experience.

· Pick up/Drop off: Assisting customers hooking and unhooking trailers, loading utes and trailers.

· Loading and unloading of mobile plant onto trucks.

· Local truck driving with the occasional bigger trip thrown in for variety.

· Record keeping.

· Keeping the yard and workshop clean and tidy

· We really like our employees and don't want anyone to get hurt So, working safely is a must.

Must haves…

· The right attitude We love people that care about their work.

· Good communication skills.

· Attention to detail.

· Forklift licence.

· Manual drivers licence.

· Truck licence.

· Some truck driving experience.

Would love, but not a deal breaker…

· Plant licences.

· White card.

Something that is a deal breaker...
