We've been trusted to serve Aussie communities since 1914 and grown to become a top 30-listed on the ASX with over 115,000 team members and a portfolio of iconic brands. At Coles Group, you'll not only get to make a difference to millions of Aussie lives—you'll also get to see your impact.

About the team

Because of our size, who we are and what we do, each day brings with it a lot of complexity that our legal team make simple. With a deep understanding of Coles Group's goals and values, we're able to provide practical and commercial advice that helps us all win.

At Coles, we're more than just a supermarket. With one of Australia's largest retail property portfolios: spanning supermarkets, liquor stores, and distribution sites our property strategy is central to how we serve millions of Australians every week.

We're now looking for a Senior Paralegal who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is ready to take on challenges with curiosity, focus, and a problem-solving mindset.

What you'll be doing
  • Supporting the in-house Property Legal team with contract and document management, advice preparation, and compliance tasks.

  • Working with LawVu and HotDocs to create, manage, and streamline workflows.

  • Analysing and digesting large volumes of information, identifying key issues, and presenting insights clearly.

  • Managing repetitive and high-volume tasks efficiently while looking for ways to improve processes.

  • Exploring opportunities to use AI and automation to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and ways of working across the team.

  • Collaborating with lawyers, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to deliver timely and high-quality outcomes.

About you

You'll be a proactive and detail-focused paralegal who enjoys problem solving and finding smarter ways to work. You'll also ideally bring:

  • Solid experience in a paralegal or legal operations role, ideally in a large or complex organisation.

  • Experience as a Lease Administrator (commercial leases).

  • Strong technical skills.

  • Experience with file & matter management software (especially LawVu) and document automation software (especially Hot Docs) considered beneficial.

  • Comfort working with both routine, repetitive tasks and complex, challenging matters.

  • A growth mindset, always looking for ways to apply technology (including AI) to improve efficiency.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with a can-do approach.

Why Coles?

You'll join a diverse and supportive team where your ideas and curiosity are valued. As part of one of Australia's largest employers, you'll have access to career development opportunities, flexible working options, and the chance to contribute to initiatives that impact millions of Australians every day.
