Your impact
Jacobs is seeking a motivated Technical Leader to join our dynamic APAC Transmission and Distribution team in New South Wales. As Technical Leader for Transmission Lines, you'll spearhead planning, design, and construction of cutting-edge overhead transmission line projects across Australia.
You'll have quality control and process improvement oversight, the opportunity to be involved in thought leadership initiatives, including industry engagement, contributing to our technical community of practice in the APAC region. With a focus on client management and development, this role offers a unique blend of technical and commercial elements to advance your career. This opportunity would suit an experienced Transmission Line expert, with prior engineering consultancy experience, who is looking to develop their career in a global company.
Here's what you'll need
- Lead complex transmission line projects from conception to completion, establishing design criteria and methodologies for project teams.
- Provide technical guidance, manage technical risks in proposals and projects and mentorship to local and global engineering teams.
- Drive business growth through proposal development and client engagement, finding innovative solutions, championing value and sustainability.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (AS/NZS, ASCE, IEEE, IEC) and client specifications.
What You'll Bring
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Extensive experience in transmission line engineering and project delivery.
- Proven track record in managing large, multidisciplinary projects.
- Open communication style with project leadership skills and the ability to work across geographies.
- Technically innovative with a focus on continuous improvement.
