Refrigeration Mechanic

About the role

Cryotech Mechanical is seeking an experienced Refrigeration Mechanic to join our team in our Logan Central, QLD location. This is a full-time role where you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of a variety of refrigeration and air conditioning systems (90% Ref/10% AC). As a key member of our skilled trades team, you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers' cooling systems are functioning effectively and efficiently.

What you'll be doing

1. Install, maintain and repair commercial and industrial refrigeration and air conditioning equipment
2. Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with cooling systems
3. Perform routine preventative maintenance tasks
4. Work closely with customers to understand and meet their needs
5. Provide excellent customer service and technical support
6. Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations
7. Contribute to the continuous improvement of our services and processes

What we're looking for

1. Formal trade qualification as a Refrigeration Mechanic
2. Extensive experience (minimum 2-5 years) working as a Refrigeration Mechanic in the commercial and/or industrial sectors
3. Strong technical skills and a sound understanding of refrigeration and air conditioning systems
4. Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
5. Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues
6. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to safety
7. A current driver's licence with clean record
