About the Company:TRS Resourcing is seeking motivated and hands-on Trade Assistants to join our client's growing team. Our client is a proudly Australian-owned manufacturer, renowned for producing Fuel Tanks, Fuel Trailers, and Commercial Fuel Systems. Based in Sydney's western suburbs, this is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative workshop that values quality craftsmanship and teamwork.

About the Role As a Trades Assistant, you'll support skilled tradespeople across all stages of the build process — including fitting, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic assembly work. Reporting directly to the Workshop Manager, you'll play a key role in maintaining smooth operations in a fast-paced environment where safety, quality, and efficiency are top priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate hand and power tools
  • Assist qualified trades such as Mechanical Fitters and Boilermakers
  • Apply mechanical aptitude to day-to-day tasks
  • Work independently and manage priorities effectively
  • Maintain high standards of Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) compliance

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Basic knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Reliable, proactive, and committed to teamwork

Qualifications & Requirements

  • References from at least two previous employers
  • Residency in Sydney, NSW
  • Legal right to work in Australia
  • Willingness to undergo full training
