About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the dynamic team at The Surgery Kincumber as a casual Medical Receptionist. Based in Kincumber, NSW 2251, you will play a vital role in providing efficient and friendly administrative support to our medical practice. This is a casual position hours per week), offering flexibility and the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, supportive environment. You must be available to work a variety of shifts Monday - Friday between the hours of 8am - 5:30pm.
What you'll be doing
- Greeting patients and visitors in a warm and professional manner
- Handling patient enquiries, booking appointments, and managing patient records
- Assisting with the coordination and organisation of the medical practice's day-to-day operations
- Providing administrative support to the medical team, including typing, filing, and data entry
- Maintaining a high level of confidentiality and attention to detail in all aspects of the role
Contributing to a positive and collaborative team environment
Processing patients' billings/receipts.
- To maintaining the cleanliness of the practice.
- Fostering professional working relationships with team members, patients and medical staff
- Maintaining compliance with organisational policies and procedures
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in a medical or healthcare administration role is preferred, ideally within a GP or medical practice setting but not essential.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact with patients, colleagues, and healthcare professionals in a friendly and professional manner
- Excellent organisation and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively
- Experience with medical practice software such as Best Practice, Genie, or Pracsoft, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Knowledge of Medicare billing processes and bulk billing procedures
- A genuine interest in the healthcare industry and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care
A friendly, positive, and flexible attitude, with a willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of the practice
Ability to work flexible hours
