The Opportunity UNSW College is looking for a Project Manager to create a business case for a change to our academic calendar, to align with the new UNSW's calendar. This is an important project that involves working closely with teams across UNSW College and the wider UNSW project team. You will help organise and collect the right information, work with teams to understand how a calendar change would affect them and help us put together the case for moving forward. This is a great opportunity to be part of a meaningful change at UNSW College. You'll help lay the groundwork for a big change that affects how we teach, support students, and work with UNSW. You will also be supported by a collaborative team and have access to helpful tools and examples from across UNSW. What You Will Do
- Work closely with UNSW's project team
- Lead coordination and produce the Business Case for UNSW College's part of the project
- Meet with teams across the College to understand the impact of a calendar change
- Fill in business case templates based on those meetings and send them back for review
- Help identify key issues like system changes, student impacts, timing, and resource needs
- Help run workshops with teams if needed
- Keep track of timelines, tasks, and information we need to provide
- Make sure everything is clearly written and shared with the right people What We Are Looking For
- Experience managing projects — ideally in education or a large organisation
- Experience in writing Business Cases for approval
- Confident talking with people at all levels and bringing different views together
- Able to clearly record and summarise what you have learned from others
- Comfortable working in a changing environment
- Good with written and verbal communication
- Some understanding of how universities or colleges run (especially things like timetables, student services, or teaching) is helpful
- Understanding of how academic calendars impact systems, policies, or partners
- Familiarity with student enrolment, course planning, or compliance processes is highly desirable How can we benefit you?
