Your next career opportunity:
As a Research Grants Officer at the University of Melbourne, you'll have the opportunity to support cutting-edge research by managing post-award administration of research funding. You'll work closely with academics, university departments, and external funding agencies to ensure high-quality outcomes. This role offers you the chance to develop expertise in grant management, build strong stakeholder relationships, and contribute to the university's research success in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Manage Post-Award Administration: Provide high-quality support for funded research, ensuring compliance and timely reporting to funding bodies.
- Build and Maintain Relationships: Establish excellent connections with internal and external stakeholders, offering impactful advice to researchers and administrators.
- Support Grant Management Processes: Assist in negotiating and accepting research funding, coordinating communications, and maintaining accurate data in research management systems.
- Contribute to University Initiatives: Help organise training seminars, workshops, and special programs to support the research community.

You may also:
- Have a tertiary qualification with relevant experience in a similar role.
- Possess strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Track record of showing good judgement, initiative and ability to undertake tasks with minimum supervision, seeking advice and escalating issues when required
- Have experience in maintaining effective stakeholder relationships.
- Be adaptable and thrive in a flexible, changing environment.
- Have experience working in a university setting (desirable).
