Exciting opportunities are available for experienced HR or HC Class Truck Drivers (Casual) to join the team at BR and LC Jones Transport Pty Ltd in Mackay, Queensland. What you'll be doing

  1. Safely operate tipper trucks to deliver and dump materials such as sand, gravel, and asphalt across various job sites
  2. Conduct daily pre-start checks, maintain vehicle cleanliness, and perform basic maintenance including weekly greasing
  3. Load and unload quarry products, ensuring correct handling and secure transport in line with safety procedures
  4. Complete all required documentation accurately and submit promptly to supervisors or contractors
  5. Comply with all road safety, environmental, and company protocols, reporting incidents and hazards as required
  6. Provide excellent customer service by ensuring timely and efficient deliveries
  7. Work flexibly, including occasional night shifts, weekends, and overnight travel when needed

What we're looking for

  1. A reliable and professional Heavy Rigid (HR) or Heavy Combination (HC) licenced driver with a strong work ethic and commitment to safety
  2. Minimum 2 years' experience operating truck and dog tippers is highly regarded but not essential
  3. Good knowledge of relevant road safety and transport regulations, with a willingness to comply with company procedures
  4. Physically fit and capable of handling manual tasks, with a clean and tidy approach to vehicle care
  5. Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset, with the ability to follow instructions and work independently
  6. Commitment to safety and a clean driving record
  7. Availability for day and night shifts, weekend work, and occasional overnight travel as required
