The Role
Are you a mid-level HR professional ready to step into a leadership role and take full ownership of the HR function? We're seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead and manage all aspects of human resources—from strategy to day-to-day operations.
This is a full-time role (38 hours per week), offering flexible working arrangements to support work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding for employees, contractors, and temporary staff.
• Administer and maintain the HRIS (Employment Hero).
• Prepare employment contracts, letters, induction packs, and HR documentation.
• Coordinate performance reviews, probation tracking, salary reviews, and position description updates.
• Liaise with payroll to ensure accurate processing.
• Oversee compliance training and manage content within the Learning Management System.
• Maintain HR records, templates, and registers, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
• Compile HR metrics and generate compliance and government reports.
• Manage employee relations, support managers, and foster an inclusive workplace culture.
• Ensure compliance with employment legislation, WHS standards, and ethical practices.
• Coordinate Work Health and Safety administration and reporting.
• Lead HR projects and contribute to business-aligned strategic initiatives.
About You
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar HR role.
• Strong knowledge of Australian employment law and HR compliance.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in HRIS systems (preferably Employment Hero) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities independently.
• HR certification (e.g., AHRI, CIPD, SHRM) is desirable.
