About You

We're looking for a highly organised, proactive and detail-driven
Assistant Product Manager
to join our Consumer Hardware team. In this role, you'll support the Product Manager across pricing, stock, vendor, and sales operations. This role is ideal for someone experienced in product coordination within a retail distribution environment and who is eager to develop into an experienced Product Manager as your career progresses. You'll work closely with Product Managers and vendors and own key operational tasks to make meaningful contributions to a fast-moving distribution environment.

What You Will Do in the Role

Pricing, Rebates & Claims

  • Maintain and update vendor price lists across ERP and inventory systems
  • Manage exchange rate-based pricing adjustments for USD vendors
  • Process retailer rebates and scan claims with accuracy and timeliness

Stock Management

  • Monitor weekly stock levels across warehouses and place replenishment orders
  • Manage ageing inventory and coordinate with vendors on returns and stock balancing
  • Submit and track customer returns, liaising with vendors for resolution
  • Ensure warehouse teams meet SLAs for order processing

Sales & Partner Support

  • Respond to Consumer Sales team enquiries about pricing, availability, and product info
  • Prepare regular stock and pricing updates for key retail partners

Vendor & Contract Management

  • Understand vendor agreements and communicate key terms across departments
  • Attend regular vendor meetings alongside the Product Manager
  • Record meeting minutes and follow up on open items

Customer Service & Communication

  • Manage vendor inboxes and respond to operational queries
  • Place and track sales orders (including COD)
  • Keep all departments informed with timely updates using internal tools
  • Ensure the sales team has up-to-date sales materials and tools

Reporting & Insights

  • Generate stock, sell-in/sell-out, and backorder reports
  • Assist with vendor claims in coordination with the Vendor Operations Manager
  • Build ad hoc reports for vendors and retail partners as needed

What You Will Need to Succeed in the Role

  • Retail product distribution experience essential
  • Professional and clear communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Solid administrative and business writing skills
  • Excellent customer service orientation
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship building skills
  • Proactive orientation
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Solution focused and the ability to manage and resolve customer issues and complaints
  • Collaborative team player and can work well autonomously
  • Intermediate Office 365 proficiency, especially in Excel
