Diesel Mechanic

About our Client

WorkPac is seeking an experienced qualified Diesel Mechanic to join our clients team on a full time basis on a 7:7 FIFO roster, across forestry, farming, workshop and the industrial environment.

If you have 3+ years of experience working as a qualified Diesel Mechanic and possess the necessary skills, we want to hear from you.

  • Island life FIFO position 7:7 roster
  • Full time position $120,000 per year
  • Accommodation and meal allowances provided

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Servicing, inspection and maintenance to operational and mobile plant
  • Servicing and repair of modern forestry, agricultural and industrial equipment
  • Maintaining inventory of spare parts and supplies
  • Preventative maintenance checks to ensure machinery is operational
  • Maintain a safe working environment including identifying and escalating OHS risks
  • Service and Inspection of heavy vehicles

What You Will Need:

  • Certificate III - Heavy Diesel Mechanics - Essential
  • HR licence minimum
  • White Card
  • Civil plant and high risk tickets
  • 3+ years of vehicle, industrial plant and heavy machinery experience
  • High Risk WP licence desirable (EWP)
  • Hydraulic experience highly desirable
  • Strong preventative maintenance knowledge
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
