Position Overview:
As a Qualified Painter, you'll play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the appearance and integrity of our village facilities. Your work will directly contribute to creating a welcoming, safe, and visually appealing environment for our guests.
This hands-on role involves a variety of painting and surface preparation tasks, from touch-ups and routine maintenance to larger-scale refurbishment projects. You'll work closely with our maintenance team to ensure all areas, from guest accommodations to communal spaces, are kept in top condition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Paint, stain, and finish surfaces across village buildings and park structures
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, patching, and priming
- Conduct regular inspections to spot areas needing attention
- Assist with general maintenance tasks like carpentry and repairs
- Support larger projects such as renovations and upgrades to park amenities
- Work closely with the maintenance team to keep the park looking its best
- Maintain tools and a tidy workspace
- Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards
- Help uphold our commitment to cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction
Requirements:
- Relevant trade qualifications (e.g., builder, carpenter, plumber, or painter).
- Proven experience in a trades role, ideally within a resort, hotel, or similar environment.
- A current manual driver's licence (essential for transporting equipment)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills and a positive, helpful attitude.
- Physical fitness for a hands-on role and a valid driver's license.
- Available to work a flexible 7-day roster, Monday to Sunday as required.
