C&S Mining Services are a family owned and operated company based in Neerabup, WA, looking for a Casual Workshop Flux Core Welder. Whilst the role is based at Neerabup, there is an option of occasional site work also.
This is a casual position with the option to become permanent. We operate in a friendly workshop environment, within a fun, dynamic and cooperative team.
The role of the Workshop Welder is to:
- Be our dedicated welder.
- Read drawings and plans.
- Weld stainless steel and aluminum, creating quality welds to structural platform handrails, pipe spooling, transfer chutes, deflector plates and reclaimer buckets and other project work.
- Set up and operate hand and power tools such as shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment.
- Comply with our policies, practices and procedures.
- Encourage a culture of zero harm.
- Adhere to the relevant safe work method statements and safe operating procedures.
- Follow the steps outlined in the daily run sheets and inspection test plans.
- Maintain a high housekeeping standard across work areas, facilities and vehicles.
- Actively provide feedback of any nature to assist with continuous improvement.
- Contribute to a respectful team environment.
- Take instruction from Leading Hand where required.
What we require from you:
- Undertake a weld test to demonstrate competency.
- AS/NZ 1554 Structural Steel Weld Qualification
- TIG welding stainless and carbon steel experience required.
