About The Role
As the
C
ategory
Strategy Manager (FTC)
you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of brand-specific commercial strategies (including 4Ps) across channels and customers. You will translate category insights, customer needs and brand ambitions into actionable commercial plans that drive category growth and competitiveness.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and implement brand-specific commercial trade strategies (4Ps) aligned with Opella's broader goals and commercial objectives
- Lead the annual planning process for the brand, integrating category, sales, marketing, and revenue management inputs
- Design and execute Go-to-Market strategies (4Ps) tailored to channel and customer needs
- Translate Opella Category growth strategies into compelling sell-in decks for customers
- In conjunction with customer teams, lead Joint Business Planning and category reviews with key retail partners
- Identify growth platforms and innovation opportunities within the relevant category
- Monitor execution against commercial plans and KPIs
- Lead diagnostics and interventions to improve brand performance
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure readiness and alignment
- Coach and mentor the Commercial Strategy Analyst
- Foster a high-performance culture focused on growth and innovation.
About You
Qualifications:
- Degree qualified in relevant field
Experience
- 7+ years in FMCG, with experience in Category strategy, Brand Management, or Sales
- Working experience with data sources such as Quantium, Circana, Nielsen etc.
Skills
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skill
- Ability to turn insights into actional strategies and present these in a compelling way
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and manage stakeholders
- High level communication skills
- Experience with category management and customer engagement
