About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Officer to join our highly successful Finance team in Sydney. Please note that we will also consider applications from Melbourne or Brisbane.

The Accounts Receivable Officer will manage and oversee the firm's receivables, ensuring accurate and timely collection of outstanding invoices. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and internal teams.

Responsibilities include:

Accurately process and record all incoming payments dailyRegularly review and reconcile client accounts to ensure all transactions are accurately recordedInvestigate and resolve any discrepancies between client records and internal accountsProactively manage and follow up on aged debtor accounts to recover outstanding debts Respond promptly to client queries

Qualifications and Experience Required: 

Formal accounting qualificationsExperience in professional services (ideally legal/IP)Solid understanding of accounts payable and receivable functions (minimum 2 - 3 years' experience)Exposure to multi-currency transactionsCompetence with computerised systems including Teams, Excel and Outlook

It is desirable for candidate to have: 

Inprotech & MYOB experienceExperience of monitoring unbilled disbursement and recoveries balances
