
Administration and Admissions Officer

Pivotal to the growth of APGS, the role of Administration and Admissions Officer will be centered on building and managing relationships with future APGS families from initial enquiry through to Orientation. The role will also focus on the planning and implementation of various marketing and outreach activities to increase exposure to the wider community.
Responsibilities
- Provide course and general enrolment information to prospective students, parents and teachers and manage the audition booking process.
- Provide guided tours to families and present school information sessions where required.
- Build rapport and liaise with external industry bodies such as primary schools arts-related organisations, private studios, media outlets and schools.
- Implement promotional and marketing activities at Open Mornings, showcase concerts and other related events to promote APGS.
- Build engagement with prospective families and foster individual relationships to guide the enrolment process.
- Work with media personnel and faculty to drive the online presence of APGS, including content creation and marketing campaigns on social media and the school's website.
- Explore and develop new marketing concepts and initiatives to effectively build the school's profile.
- Manage and organise student databases, records and other administrative tasks as required.
- Monitor school facilities and resources to ensure APGS is presented in the best possible light.
- Other duties as lawfully directed by senior management.
General Expectations
- Perform all contracted duties to the best of abilities at all times.
- Support wholeheartedly all APGS activities to reflect our aims and objectives, mission statement, and vision.
- Follow company procedures and protocol, keeping all files/documents organised and easily accessible to other staff members.
- Use designated work hours efficiently, structurally, and competently. Be able to focus on obtaining results and completing allocated tasks under minimal supervision.
- Maintain professional relationships with staff members, students, and board members at all times. Personal relationships or related issues with other staff members should never interfere with job performance.
- Maintain a strong work ethic at all times. Provide information and helpful support to staff members, students, and visitors with a positive attitude.
- Clothes should be professional and presentable, and close attention should be given to personal hygiene.
- Report regularly to the Head of School Operations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
- Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to inform decisions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with digital marketing tools and platforms (e.g., Google Analytics)
- Familiarity with marketing for social media platforms
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Experience with graphic design and/or video editing software a plus
- Experience using a student management system a plus
