About the role
The Manager, School Recruitment Support leads the operational, administrative and systems functions that underpin the end-to-end recruitment of all school-based roles in NSW public schools. The role provides strategic direction, oversight and leadership of teams responsible for recruitment support, business operations, systems improvement, and quality assurance and training.
You'll champion continuous improvement and capability uplift, strengthen data integrity and compliance, and ensure efficient, accurate and consistent recruitment processes. Most importantly, you'll deliver an outstanding experience for schools, employees and prospective applicants across NSW, contributing to the Department's commitment to high-quality public education.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Proven leadership experience managing operational, administrative or systems functions in a large, complex recruitment or workforce environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data and insights into measurable operational improvements.
- Expertise in system optimisation and process design to drive efficiency, quality and user experience.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across schools, internal teams, unions and partner agencies.
- Demonstrated ability to foster a high-performance, service-oriented culture that empowers teams and builds capability.
- Strategic leadership capability to set direction, lead through change, and align people and systems to deliver high-impact recruitment outcomes across NSW public education.

Essential requirements, experience and knowledge
- Tertiary qualifications or relevant and recent experience in Human Resource Operations or Management or a relevant discipline
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

Renewal is not required after the WWCC expires, as long as you remain in a non–child-related role. Employer obligations only apply while the WWCC is valid.
