Due to huge demand and uplift in the Manufacturing side of this business, I am pleased to be working with my client based in Deer Park, VIC and as such, am leading the search for Full-time Mechanical Maintenance Fitter.

Your Role

Trade qualified, with previous manufacturing mechanical maintenance experience you will be assisting with breakdowns as well as preventative maintenance strategies.

Duties will include:

· Ensure preventative, corrective, and breakdown maintenance activities are performed safely and efficiently.

· Contribute towards the safe and efficient operation of plant and equipment.

· Ability in identifying the Root Cause of equipment failures.

· Investigate process, plant, and equipment failures, determine the cause of failure, and develop permanent solutions

· Partake in capital and improvement projects.

· Able to identify improvement opportunities.

· Follow WHS directives.

Benefits:

· $47.00-$50.00 per hour (shift dependant) + superannuation + penalty rates

· Base hours Monday-Friday 6am-4pm + big overtime

· Full-time position; paid annual and personal sick leave entitlements.

To Succeed

· Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a Qualified Fitter/Turner or Boilermaker.

· MIG or TIG welding experience with a working knowledge and application of preventative maintenance strategies.

· A great attitude and genuine desire to produce high quality results.

· High level knowledge & commitment to WHS and risk management

· Sound verbal and written communication skills.

· Hydraulics and Pneumatics training and experience beneficial.

· Forklift ticket advantageous.

· Reliable transport
