Senior Dermal Clinician (Casual)

Location: Fitzroy

Pay: $40-$45 per hour

About the Role

Dr Shammi Dermatology is seeking a highly skilled Senior Dermal Clinician or Therapist to join our team on a casual basis. This role is ideal for a practitioner experienced with advanced laser and energy-based devices, passionate about delivering safe, evidence-based, and results-driven treatments.

You will work alongside our founding dermatologist, Dr Shammi, providing treatments based on pre-documented clinical settings and protocols, ensuring consistency, safety, and excellence in patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced skin treatments using devices such as BBL, Moxi, Pico, Aviclear, ClearV, ClearSilk, Ultraformer, Exion, and Emface (experience with comparable devices acceptable).
  • Deliver gold-standard client care before, during, and after treatments.
  • Support Dr Shammi in consultations — take clinical notes, prepare rooms, and explain treatment plans clearly to patients.
  • Manage administrative tasks including follow-up calls, re-bookings, aftercare guidance, and retail sales of medical-grade skincare (iS Clinical, RATIONALE).
  • Maintain a high standard of clinical documentation and infection control protocols.

  • Contribute to clinic performance by meeting key financial KPIs, including:

  • Rebooking rate targets

  • Retail conversion rate
  • Treatment room productivity

About You

  • Senior-level experience in dermal therapies, ideally in a dermatology or cosmetic medical setting.
  • Strong understanding of skin anatomy, pigmentation, vascular concerns, acne, and scarring.
  • Confident operating advanced devices and willing to learn new technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills, empathetic patient manner, and professional presentation.
  • Proven ability to meet rebooking and retail sales targets.
  • Self-directed learner, proactive, and solution-focused.
  • Reliable, punctual, and positive — this role is not suited to anyone with a negative attitude, low motivation, or poor reliability.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment.

Work Schedule

  • 2–3 days per week
  • Every Monday and two Saturdays per month are mandatory
