Hume Doors and Timber is the Australia's leading door manufacturer.  For over 70 years, we have continued to set new benchmarks in door manufacturing; delivering uncompromising standards of quality and professionalism.  We currently have an opportunity for a Despatch Administrration person to join our team at Thornton.  This role will see you responsible for the co-ordination of effective despatch operations to ensure that our customer requirements are met.

You will lead assist the despatch team to manage all aspects of this side of our business including delivery schedules, and enforcing our policies and procedures. You will be working alongside the warehousing team to ensure timely and accurate delivery to our customers.

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • The checking and receipt of incoming goods,including the reporting of discrepancies.
  • Administration of customer returns.
  • Stocktaking door stock.
  • Customer pick ups.
  • Preparation of driver manifests.
  • Assisting with despatch planning.
  • Gereral administration duties including email monitoring, filing, phone communication etc.
  • Other relevant duties.

Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience

  • Strong administration experience (in despatch/general administration)
  • Customer service focus
  • Excellent levels of computer literacy
  • Proactive, punctual and reliable.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Forklift licence would be an advantage.
