SAP Basis Platform Consultant
(SAP RISE, BTP, NetWeaver & Hana)

Position Purpose:

The Platform consultant is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and optimization of SAP systems, including the RISE with SAP program. This includes tasks like on-premises system maintenance, configuration, monitoring, upgrades, and performance tuning with a focus on the technical aspects of SAP landscapes. They play a key role in supporting SAP RISE systems, integration with SAP BTP services, and ensuring compliance within the SAP environment. 

Major Accountabilities:

  • Supporting, configuring, and maintaining on-premises SAP systems, including NetWeaver, S/4HANA, and Java-based components.
  • Experienced with SAP Cloud products, including BTP, Cloud Identity Services, Work Zone, Cloud Connector, and Integration Suite configuration.
  • Leading and supporting RISE with SAP projects, including planning, readiness assessments, and cutover execution. Collaborate with the Basis team on documenting key delivery tasks, change management, and deployment activities.
  • Administering and monitoring SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) environments, including subaccounts, services, and trust configurations.
  • Creating and maintaining technical documentation, including design specifications, procedures, and operational dashboards.
  • Working closely with functional and project teams, developers, and infrastructure teams to ensure a seamless and efficient SAP landscape.

Experience:
10+ years of experience on SAP Basis Platform systems, including SAP S/4HANA, SAP NetWeaver, and SAP BTP

Knowledge / Skills:

  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP NetWeaver, and SAP BTP services.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) is highly desirable.
  • Experience with database management (HANA, Oracle, etc.) is also essential.
  • Knowledge of Hana DB Installation, Configuration, Backup, and Recovery.
  • Hana sizing, performance tuning, and configuration.
  • Experience with Cloud Connector, SAP ALM, and Cloud Transport Management.
  • Managing Global Accounts, Sub Accounts, and Cloud Foundry Org and Space.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
  • Analytical, results-driven, and solution-oriented way of working.
