We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mental Health Teacher to contribute to impactful outcomes in the Human Services and Education department. You'll play a key role in delivering strategic and operational services aligned with Melbourne Polytechnic's values.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, teach and assess learning activities that meet learner needs
- Establish and maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment
- Implement learning processes including student participation and learning plans
- Provide pastoral care and support services to students
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress and assessment
- Engage with industry and stakeholders to ensure vocational relevance
- Participate in curriculum design and continuous improvement initiatives
- Mentor and support entry-level teachers
- Relevant qualifications in vocational education and training
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122/TAE40116) or equivalent
- Demonstrated teaching experience and learner-centred approach
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Organised, detail-oriented, and solutions-focused
- High-level ICT skills for e-learning and reporting
- Knowledge of compliance, quality assurance, and continuous improvement
Successful candidate will be required to provide:
- A valid Victorian Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- A National Police Check
