HANDYPERSON – Hamilton Island

Swap city streets for ocean views and make the island your workspace. Hamilton Island is seeking a hands-on, reliable Handyperson to join our dedicated Maintenance team.

This is a practical, varied role where no two days look the same. From fixing doors and furniture to cleaning gutters, patching walls, and completing general repairs across the resort, you'll be part of the team that keeps our island looking and running at its best. Where you'll make an impact

• Carry out general maintenance and repair work across a variety of resort buildings and facilities
• Ensure all fixtures, fittings, and equipment are safe, functional, and well-presented
• Complete a wide range of tasks, such as repairing doors, sanding, painting, minor carpentry, cleaning gutters, and assisting with small renovation projects
• Respond to maintenance requests promptly and professionally to support a seamless guest experience
• Maintain a safe and tidy work environment, following all WHS policies and procedures

You're a practical problem-solver who enjoys variety in your day and takes pride in delivering quality work. You work well in a team, stay calm when things get busy, and bring a flexible, positive attitude to every task. To be successful, you'll need

• A valid manual driver's licence
• White Construction Card (essential)
• Work Safely at Heights and EWP (above 11m) tickets highly regarded
• Partial trade qualification or previous maintenance experience (essential)
• Reliable, flexible, and able to work both independently and within a team
• Strong communication skills and professional personal presentation
